I used to struggle with chronic pain—the kind that felt relentless, like it had control over my life. For a long time, I spent my life running from my pain rather than truly caring for it. Pain felt like an enemy, something to fear, avoid, or fight against.
But through my yoga practice, that relationship began to shift. Instead of seeing pain as something to escape, I learned to listen to it—to meet it with curiosity instead of frustration, to nurture instead of resist. Over time, my body became a space of care rather than conflict.
Combining my yoga practice with self-care has been one of my greatest tools in transforming my relationship with pain. Using breath, gentle movement, intentional self-massage, warm baths, and other supportive practices, we can tend to areas of tension with awareness—offering relief, circulation, and support from within. It’s an act of self-love, a way of telling your body: I’m here. I’m listening. I’ve got you.
If you experience chronic pain, tightness, or stress, some simple self-care techniques can be deeply supportive. Sometimes, the simplest practices make the biggest difference.

What a great reflection!
